WisePorter v1.6 Release Notes
We’ve just released a new version of WisePorter. Take a look at the new features and improvements we’ve added to make working with your data even simpler, faster, and more efficient.
Imports and exports – better than ever
For many companies, Excel remains a vital tool for working with data and we get that. That’s why we’ve completely reworked imports and exports in WisePorter to make them faster, clearer, and more reliable.
- Faster, cleaner data workflows. The new imports and exports handle even very large data batches much faster than before. Excel templates are now simpler and more intuitive. At a glance, you’ll see which cells are just for guidance and don’t need to be filled in. And for selected fields, you can now choose values from predefined dropdown lists — meaning less manual work and fewer errors.
- Collections – clear and organized. Collections are parameters that repeat — a product can have multiple attachments, and a supplier can have multiple addresses (for example, a headquarters address and a delivery address) etc. Previously, everything was exported to one sheet in the form of columns — which was fine for fixed data, like two types of addresses. But for attachments, where there could be five, twenty, or none at all, this created messy tables full of empty fields.
Now, WisePorter distinguishes between data types:
- Fixed values (e.g., addresses) stay in columns.
- Variable values (e.g., attachments) are exported to a separate sheet, with each item in its own row.
The result? Clean, organized exports that adapt to the amount of data.
- Effortless formatting. Numbers and dates now load correctly, no matter the language version of Excel. No more issues with commas vs. dots or date formats.
- Automatic code generation. When importing new products, you no longer have to enter codes manually. WisePorter generates them automatically based on your rules.
- Additional validation for updates. When updating records via import, WisePorter now verifies not just the product code, but also other important data, like EAN or manufacturer.
- Support for units of measure. Imports and exports now fully support units of measure — no manual tweaks required.

Multiple lookups for a single field
Suppliers often send the same information in different formats.
For example, clothing sizes:
- Numeric sizes (36, 38, 40…)
- Letter sizes (S, M, L…)
Previously, you had to choose just one format or create duplicate fields. Now, you can assign multiple lookup tables to a single field and simply select the one you need. WisePorter will validate the value and ensure your data stays consistent.
Smarter product relationships
Relationships in WisePorter link data across different scenarios – for example, they can connect products to price lists, group securities into investment products, or combine products into bundles. The system now detects when a product appears in a place it shouldn’t and notifies you — preventing duplicates and errors. This makes it easier to keep complex product structures clean and saves valuable time.
A few extra touches:
- Multi-line description previews. Long descriptions now display over multiple lines in the preview, so you can read them without opening the detail view.
- Codes in lookup lists. Lookup windows now show both the item name and its code, making navigation faster and easier — especially for items with similar names.
